| I'm going to school for HR in the end of my year long classes i'll have a certificate. Do you think i can land a job in HR with just a certificate? Or are companies looking for more then just that? |

I think you could get a job with a certificate. It might be entry-level, but you can work your way up.
I'd look at employment agencies - they hire people to help them interview and test and place people (like Randstad, Kelly Services, etc.). I think they "train" a lot of HR people who start out with the temp agency and then find a job with a company somewhere once they have some experience.

How are you liking it?
I cant decide what I want to go to school for after my mat. leave.
I dont think i can handle university with two kids.. so im thinking something community college |

| I really like it. I do find it easy though, alot of what they teach you is basic common sense stuff, well to me at least. |

My mom and sister are in HR. My sister went to 4 years of college and has just a basic job. I think she makes 30 grand a year. She is mad she doesn't make more, but she needs the experience first.
My mom has been in it for several years now. She has no college education. sShe started i nthe shoe department in a depart. store and then was lucky enough to land a job up in the personnel office. She did such a great job, she was made the HR director of their warehouse. She then went on to other jobs as HR person. She now is is with a company making cloes to 100grand a year if she gets all her bonuses. She is an exception to the rule though ,and I know that.
I think you will get a job, but it will most likely take awhile to make the big bucks. |
